Megan Killop, Business Manager January 22, 2015
To say that students nowadays have a lot on their plate is an understatement. Really, how do students do it? We are required to spend 7 hours at school, plus the demanding load of school work now required for students to get into a decent college, in addition to the expectations of actively participating in clubs and extra-curriculars. The burning of Ferguson

The burning of Ferguson

Kathleen Isenegger, A&E Editor January 14, 2015
Whether or not you believe Darren Wilson was justified in his actions that caused the death of 18 year old Michael Brown is not the issue at hand. Trying to encapsulate what is going on in our country by isolating this one event is absurd. Tens of thousands of people across the United States are not protesting due to the debatable murder of one man. By A&E Editor: Kathleen Isenegger
The pain of being a Lions fan

The pain of being a Lions fan

Thomas Lassiter, Co-Sports Editor January 14, 2015
Over the weekend, the Detroit Lions were bidding for their first playoff win since the 1991 in the NFC Divisional Round. They matched up with the Dallas Cowboys, who were on a four game win streak at the time. Detroit lost the game on a picked up flag with no explanation at all. This horribly blown call was the grounds for national media controversy as even President Obama claimed he would be aggravated if he were a Lions fan. By Sports Editor Apprentice: Thomas Lassiter

Here are some tips to help you during the test (from the ACT website and my own experiences.) By Social Media Editor: Jordan Pudvay

Jack Frosts slow start

Jack Frost’s slow start

Ian Stone, Staff Writer January 12, 2015
For some, the young winter of 2015 has been all they've hoped for. For others, it has been their worst nightmare. The lack of cold and snow until recently has been a stark contrast to 2014's winter with its record snowfalls and polar vortex that plunged temperatures into subzero territory. But is this year's relative warmth and lack of snow a good thing? By Staff Writer: Ian Stone
