This year’s Super Bowl is on Feb 5 at 6:30 p.m. on FOX. Atlanta Falcons will be taking on the New England Patriots at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. Falcons have a 11-5 record, and Patriots have a 14-2 record for the 2016-17 season. Patriots have won four Super Bowls. Falcons have never won a Super Bowl.

Tom Brady, quarterback of the Patriots, has already won four Super Bowls in his 17 year career. Brady played football for the University of Michigan from 1995 to 1999 as quarterback. This past season Brady threw 3,554 yards in his 12 games and was sacked 15 times.

Matt Ryan, quarterback of the Falcons, has had a eight year career. He’s been to four Pro Bowl games, won MVP in 2016, and won NFL Rookie of the Year in 2008. Ryan attended Boston College, where he played football for three years. This past season he’s thrown 4,944 yards, and was sacked three times.

Falcons have a pretty stellar defense. Vic Beasley had 15 sacks and forced six fumbles. Deion Jones had 75 tackles. Matt Bryant, the kicker, has made 91% of field goals. As a whole, Falcons caught 12 interceptions and had 34 sacks.

Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski made 84% of field goals. Logan Ryan had 74 total tackles and one fumble. The team as a whole forced 16 fumbles and got 34 sacks.

The prediction is that Falcons are going to win this year. Ryan has thrown 1,390 more yards than Brady this season. The Patriots had a total of 808 yards while the Falcons had 915. Patriots had a total of 6,180 offensive yards during the regular season, while Falcons had 6,653.

Although the Patriots have won many more Super Bowl Championships than the Falcons, the Dirty Birds should be able to come away with their first championship.
