Voyager Elementary School in Howell, Michigan is hosting its first ever color run. This color run is a 5K, yet slightly different than most 5K runs. This 5K is untimed and designed purely for fun. The run is being organized by the Voyager PTO. The money raised will go towards Voyager’s PTO fund. The run is on May 16th, 2015 with a $25 registration fee and is open to people aged 3-103. It will be held on the Howell High School, Voyager, Challenger and Highlander Way Middle School Campuses. All participants will be doused with color during the run.

Students came from Marquette, Petoskey, Detroit, and many more in order to compete in Poetry Out Loud. One participant in this event, however, arrived in Lansing on Mar. 13 from the halls of the Howell High School Freshman Campus. Her name? Anna Stocker.

In the past several years, rap music has become more and more popular. Personally, it's my favorite genre of music. Waka Flocka Flame, whose real name is Juaquin Malphurs, is a rapper from Atlanta, Georgia who has recently announced he will be running in the 2016 presidential election.

Tuesday afternoon saw the end of Senior Survivor for Team Kinder and Team Sheridan. The rest of the Survivors celebrated their victory with Outback and didn't start any challenges until 9 at night.

For the very first time, the advanced art classes at Howell High School will be attending a field trip on May 21st to the Detroit Institute of Art. Funds have been raised and donated for the students to get the opportunity to view centuries worth of priceless artwork.

The first Survivors to go turned out to be Team J-Terry Swerve and Team Morse Code. Despite this, Diana Morse returned and performed with the rest of the Survivors at the Highlander Awards. Before the event, the Survivors had some down time, visiting the baseball field for donations and eating food donations from Aubree's and Tomato Bro's.

This year Mr. Metz's Leadership classes decided to add another Spirit Week to the year's list of events. The week has been dubbed Survivorfest as it will be going on throughout the week of Senior Survivor. The week will be full of other activities as well, such as limbo and jello challenges during lunch as well as a choir concert and the car show on Thursday.
