Bonfire tradition returns to Spirit week

bonfireBy Social Media Editor: Cassie Bondie

Homecoming week is always exciting and hectic for Howell High School students. This year’s theme is Around the World. With the pep assembly, spirit days, the upcoming football game, and now a swing-dance organization, there’s plenty to see and do this year.

HHS has added to the Homecoming calendar a much-missed aspect of their yearly celebration: the bonfire. For those of you with older siblings or relatives who went to the high school, you’ve heard about the Homecoming bonfire. And now it’s back.

This year’s bonfire will take place on Thursday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m. on the high school’s softball practice field. Students should also remember that there will be free swing dance lessons prior to the bonfire from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.. Join students and staff for some heat and fun before Friday’s festivities.
