Chaperons and donations required for Senior All-Night Party

Rachel Cichon, Editor-in-Chief

The Senior All-Night Party is a time-honored tradition for the graduating class of Howell High. It is a night where the students can gather one last time before they officially graduate from HHS and move on to the next stage of their life. For some, it might be the last chance to meet, bond and hang out with certain individuals and is something countless seniors have enjoyed throughout HHS history.

This year, however, the Senior All-Night Party is at risk of not happening, much to the chagrin and disappointment of most HHS seniors, who heard stories of last year’s party, which occurred at 2/24 Community Church and featured interesting attractions such as a hypnotist. Seniors can still have the party, but it’s going to take the combined efforts of many HHS individuals of all ages and grades.

The Senior All-Night Party is in danger for two primary reasons. One, the class does not have the money to fund it, and two, the class does not have adequate parental chaperons to host it.

HHS students, seniors in particular, are encouraged to ask their parent’s if they would be interested in chaperoning and to donate money to the cause. The Class of 2015’s Student Council suggests that each family donate just $25 dollars.

If enough students rally together, the Class of 2015 can still enjoy a party just as entertaining as last year’s, but only if students are willing to make the effort. It is easy to assume that someone will take incentive and take care of the problem and that, as a result, you are not obligated to help, but this is not the case. If everyone has that mindset, nothing will be done, so it is up to every individual to help out if they want to have this party.

Students interested in donating can send one via Paypal or print out the form here and mail it to the school.
