The Howell High School equestrian team rode their way to success this past weekend in regionals on Sunday, Oct. 4, with a winning score of 481 points.

Students came from Marquette, Petoskey, Detroit, and many more in order to compete in Poetry Out Loud. One participant in this event, however, arrived in Lansing on Mar. 13 from the halls of the Howell High School Freshman Campus. Her name? Anna Stocker.

The Howell High School Pompon squad took 3rd at the Mid-American Pompon High Kick Championship on Nov 9th at the SVSU Ryder Center. Howell's team finished 3rd with 289 points, right behind Garden City who finished 2nd with 291.5 points. Plymouth took home the gold in this competition with the winning count of 294.5 points. This comes after Howell's 1st place finish last year at the High Kick championship in medium varsity.

We the People, a class at Howell High School that studies constitutional law and takes their knowledge to competitions at local, state and potentially national levels, has their second hearing on Friday, January 9.
