Winterfest festivities begin Monday

By Staff Writer: Lexi Petroispirit-week-poster1

Beginning on Monday, February 3 through Friday, February 7, Howell High School’s Leadership classes have put together the 2014 Winterfest Spirit Week. Be sure to show your support for Howell High by participating in this fun event.

Monday: Hippie/Tie-Dye Day

It’s time to get your groove on. Get funky fresh with your wardrobe on this lovely Monday by dressing in bright fun colors with headbands and rounded glasses. And be sure to be throwing up those peace signs all day throughout the hallways.

Tuesday: Dress For Success

Boys, get out those dress pants, and girls, maybe a cute pencil skirt (school appropriate, of course). It’s time to show your classmates that you can clean up real well by dressing nice and classy.

Wednesday: Twin Day

Hurry! Find a buddy to dress exactly the same as you! Let’s see if people will be able to find your twin during the day.

Thursday: USA/Olympic Day

In honor of the 2014 Olympics starting up, dress in your most patriotic attire. That means red, white, and blue from head to toe! USA, USA, USA!

Friday: Green and Gold Day

We obviously need a day dedicated to supporting our Highlanders! Get decked out in green and gold people!

And don’t forget, the 2014 Winterfest Dance will be held on Saturday, February 8 in the Howell High School Commons area. The theme is Black Tie Affair. Tickets will be sold at lunch starting on Monday. Ten dollars for singles and 15 dollars for couples. Be sure to buy your tickets in advance because the prices for the tickets will increase.

Mr. Metz and the Leadership classes have been working so hard to make this special for all the students so be sure to come join us next Saturday for a great night. And remember, GO-O-O-O HIGHLANDERS!
