The buzzer sounds at the end of the second period and the score is tied 3-3. This was the first time I was entered into the 2015 Individual wrestling district tournament. In the back of my head, I knew...
Howell High School has been known for many years as one of Michigan’s most prestigious fastpitch softball teams. For fourteen years, the team performed under the watchful guidance of varsity coach, Paul Bushong, but now the team is experiencing a change in management. Ron Pezzoni, coach and owner of the T2 softball and baseball facility accepted the job as head varsity coach just this past off-season. After being an assistant coach alongside Bushong last year, Pezzoni is ready to take command and continue the Howell tradition.

However, Howell has recently developed a rivalry with a neighboring school, Grand Blanc, in only a few short years. Both schools are extremely competitive in all sports, including basketball. On Friday, Feb. 13, Howell and Grand Blanc will go head to head for Howell’s Winterfest basketball game; both teams are tied for first in the division along with Hartland and Pinckney.

She started twirling after her mom brought home three batons from when she twirled in high school. Out of her three sisters, she was the only one who liked it and has stuck with twirling for six years.
Over the weekend, the Detroit Lions were bidding for their first playoff win since the 1991 in the NFC Divisional Round. They matched up with the Dallas Cowboys, who were on a four game win streak at the time. Detroit lost the game on a picked up flag with no explanation at all. This horribly blown call was the grounds for national media controversy as even President Obama claimed he would be aggravated if he were a Lions fan. By Sports Editor Apprentice: Thomas Lassiter
