It’s a tradition that high school’s around the country have been doing for years, each grade votes during the week, of the highly anticipated Homecoming football game, for the guy and girl they think will best represent their class as that year's prince and princess. Then at the end of the week the final King and Queen are chosen based on the most amount of votes. This year’s senior Homecoming court is composed of Highlanders with hobbies varying from music, volleyball, eagle scouts, and even fire twirling.
Every year as leaves change color and the school year sweeps into October, Howell Highlanders enter into a frenzy over the week of Homecoming and all that is included from court to football games. Cameron Delk and Carleigh O'Doherty were nominated for the junior class homecoming court.
As Howell’s Homecoming game quickly approaches, spirit week is responsible for bringing Howell High School together. However, the stars of the event have their own traditions that encourages the team to bring their all.

Congratulations to Howell’s valedictorian of 2015, Connor Norton! Norton has been the number one Summa Cum Laude for his last two years of high school. He has received numerous awards and has been involved in many organizations.
This school year was full of trials and tribulations. As the student body of Howell High School is teetering on the brink of insanity, summer has arrived just in time to save us. As expected, we have had to endure endless amounts of standardized tests, piles of homework, and hours upon hours spent locked in windowless classrooms.
This year’s Senior Survivor concluded with the Ultimate Survivor as Evan Webster! Webster represented the color berry and part of team fruit, an alliance Webster made with Devin Belcher, who represented the color orange. Webster described Senior Survivor as life changing, tiring, and motivational.
Ben Christensen graduated from Howell High School in 2010. Following that, he attended Michigan Tech, where he graduated in 2014. Christensen then went on to found Handshake with a few other people. According to their website, “Handshake is a modern career services management platform enabling career centers to empower students to efficiently connect with employers and launch their dream career.” Christensen is now in the position as director of products. He resides in Palo Alto, California.
On Mar. 26, Howell High School alumni Ryan Rozek returned to his high school halls carrying something a bit different than the customary backpack: a drone.
