We the People, a class at Howell High School that studies constitutional law and takes their knowledge to competitions at local, state and potentially national levels, has their second hearing on Friday, January 9. December 19, Howell’s annual dodge ball game will commence. You can root on your fellow students by donating a dollar to your 7th hour teacher. In order for your class to participate in the assembly 7th hour, 75% of your class must donate to be able to attend. Home Sweet Home project benefits needy families

Did you know that there are 480 families living in Livingston County that count as at-risk families? At-risk families are those who don’t have a stable home or the living materials needed for everyday life. LESA has a current program called Livingston Education Project that collects items for children in need but the program is running low. The National Honor Society president, Ashley Quick-Drossart, is in charge of a new project in some Howell Public Schools after initiating her desire to change her community.

Since September, Howell High School’s Kilt Shack has been dealing with the new dietary government regulations set in place by the United States Department of Agriculture. On Saturday, December 13, Howell High School's Suicide Awareness and Prevention group is presenting their first annual "We Believe in Miracles" concert. The event will be held from 6-10 p.m. in the gym at the Freshman Campus. Entrance costs $2 and will earn attendees a purple or yellow bracelet that will help raise awareness for the group
